Music For Young Kids (MYK) - 3 - 4 Years Old

Music For Young Kids (MYK) focuses on introducing young children to some basic musical concepts through singing, dancing, games, simple percussion instrumental playing, nursery rhymes, fingerplays, storytelling, and creative listening.

The ages of 3 – 4 years old are a crucial time for children to develop their fine motor skills. The MYK programme is a fun and dynamic music programme that emphasises on developing children’s fine motor skills through percussion instrument playing, body movements, and fingerplays. In addition, the MYK programme also develops children’s creativity and imagination by exposing them to various fun games, storytelling, rhyming, and acute listening.

YMC Keyboard Courses - 4 - 6 years old

YMC Keyboard Course is an innovative and inspiring programme that leads children into a new world of music, using keyboard as a medium. Children are not only exposed to keyboard playing but also to creative listening, solfège singing (e.g doh, ray, me), movement, dancing and dramatization. YMC Keyboard Course consists of three levels: 1, 2, and 3 & 4 – Complete.

YMC Keyboard Course focuses on developing:


  • Learn-by-ear.

  • Solfège singing.

  • Identification of chord qualities.

  • Exposure to a variety of musical styles and performances.

Keyboard Skills

  • Exploration on the various features on the keyboard.

  • Emphasis on ensemble-playing, harmonisation, keyboard repertoire and folk songs.


  • A holistic method to allow children to explore and discover music by themselves.

  • Arousal of creativity through focused listening, story telling, games, introduction to instruments, musical concepts, etc.

Note-reading Skills

  • Development of note reading skills with the aid of flashcards and solfège singing
